10 Years of LLama – Brad Delfeld

Brad 10 Years

Brad Delfeld or Snow Jenson from a past life, a man of great mystery, a man who is different than any actor to grace the Insane LLama screen; he is simply dangerous. Welcome to our second iteration of 10 Years of LLama; a series of post where we will celebrate the people who have come and gone from our short films over the past 10 years.

Brad Delfeld came into the lives of Eliot and mine early on in our years in the Chicago area. Brad was the local neighborhood bum, yes he was homeless, but he survived on his street smarts; which carried into all the various jobs he took on over the years. There were many jobs we saw Brad do: Police officer, Robot, Botanist, teacher, etc. He later died in a Panama prison in the year 1968 after being caught smuggling caffeine pills up his butt.

Let’s Start.

BRAD DEFELD

YEARS ACTIVE: 2006-2008 / 2011 / 2013-2015

FAMOUS ROLES: Frosting Beard / Baseball Vs. Quidditch / Banzai / The Room / Red Ball

brad1

For real though, we found Brad at a local zoo and we brought him back to our house to act. He can be seen as a supporting actor in various shorts across 2007, but his first big role came in from a short called ‘Court Case’. As 2008 came, Brad appeared in multiple shorts as a major character. Some of these include: ‘The Room’, ‘Red Ball’ and ‘The Ghost’. It became apparent that Brad was more of a comedic actor, so we only used him for comedies.

Brad would get seriously injured in a stunt in the beginning of 2009, he was hit and ran over by a truck multiple times over the course of 24 minutes. Brad would be determined and recovered from the multiple injuries in a matter of 3 years. 2013 would be a big year for Brad with award winning roles in two of Insane LLama’s biggest and most ambitious projects to date: ‘Eye Burglaries’ and ‘Baseball Vs. Quidditch’. Brad would later use his earnings from these two movies on escorts and way too much PCP. In fact during the filming of Baseball Vs. Quidditch he would he huffing glue to get into character.

The low point for Brad would come in early 2015 when he was obviously high on something during the filming of ’40 oz of Freedom’. Many onset scrabbles would erupt during interaction with Brad. Spencer Morris punched Brad in the shin after Brad would not shut the fuck up during one take. The biggest incident would come during the scene between Blake and Brad, which during a knife was pulled out and used.

Blake would later be quoted – “Brad is just a mess right now”.

40 oz of Freedom was the last time anyone ever saw Brad Delfeld; some say he lives in the south with his cat Charlie, drinking and throwing chew in all day. But we will all remember Brad as the hobo who came to act for us.

Oh. Yeah… Brad answered some questions. Enjoy!

BRAD DELFELD LLAMA PROFILE

1) Who are you and what do you do?

Brad “Snow ‘B-Sneaky’ Jenson” Delfeld. I look at plants in an effort to get my           Masters degree.

2) How did you get involved in Insane Llama Productions?

Meeting Ethan in the second grade and being an honorary Schultz Boy.

3) What is your most memorable on-set moment with Insane Llama?

All of them! Or haveing flour caked onto my face for Action Man II

4) Favorite Insane Llama short film?

Frosting Beard!!!

5) Favorite Llama actor to work with?

If I had to call one out I’d say Eliot or Spencer.

6) Did you learn anything when working with Insane Llama?

I’m pretty bad at being serious and not laughing when a camera is on.

7) Do you still keep up and follow Insane Llama?

I try to but not as much as I should.

8) How do you feel about Insane Llama turning 10 years old?

It’s a good age. Almost old enough to vote or do meth legally, I think. Right? Or did   they change the age of meth again. Gahdamn Fascist in Washington.

9) Where do you see Insane Llama in another 10 years?

Depends on where the big whigs of IL Pro (possible nickname? IL- Illinois       abbreviation and sick, nasty synonym. We’ll talk.) want it. Sundance or YouTube;        either seem plausible.

10) Share anything you want to tell the Insane Llama Audience?

The sour grapes of our past videos are turning to wine and sooner or later everyone   is going to want a sip. Don’t be a fair weather fan and climb aboard the fan base   now, plenty of room. “Everybody floats down here!” -IT

Bonus) Did you think Frosting Beard truly needed a remake?

That’s a dumb question. Does today need a yesterday? Prolly! But yes, that movie is   incredible.

I end the post with a video of Brad doing stuff! See you next time.

Introducing Throwback Thursday – Before The LLama

Before The LLama

Insane LLama’s 10 year anniversary of it’s formation is coming up in a few months, I’ll have more information on what’s planned for that in due time, but the good news now is I will be making plenty of badass montages showcasing all kinds of stuff we’ve done over the years.

We have all sorts of stuff planned to showcase the progress that’s been made in these past 10 years. To best keep in touch with these releases would be to follow the Insane LLama official blog; there are many stories and behind the scenes content planned to be released on the blog in these upcoming months towards the 10 year date.

The first thing we’re starting officially today is Throwback Thursday; which we plan to show old videos, I mean starting way back when Eliot had a squeaky high voice. Included with these old videos will be stories of their creation and most importantly what was learned from creating them. We hope this can show people how we’ve gotten to the point we’re at now since every video created was a lesson in film-making.

But anyway here’s a quick montage of some footage before we even had Insane LLama in our minds. Watch out for appearances from many different people we’ve used over the years, but much younger. Follow the blog and as always enjoy!
